Central Silk Board to Recruit Scientists Through GATE 2022 Score: 15 Vacancies Announced

Central Silk Board was established in 1948 by an Act passed in the parliament, and it functions under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The Central Silk Board, headquartered in Bangalore, focuses on the scientific, technological and economic development of the sericulture industry in India. Their objective is the overall upliftment of sericulture and the related sectors through quality research.

On 24 August 2021, the Central Silk Board has announced the upcoming recruitment for Scientist B positions through GATE 2022 score. Click here to see the official notification released on the CSB website.

As per the official brochure, those who aspire to apply for these vacancies should qualify for the ICAR-NTA AICE JRF/SRF and IIT GATE exams in 2022.

Eligibility and Qualification

  • Candidates should appear for GATE 2022 and get a valid score in order to be eligible for applying.
  • Candidates should have BE/B.Tech in Textile Technology from a recognized university.
  • The age limit for this vacancy is 35 years. The candidates should not exceed 35 years as on 31.12.2021.

The selected candidates will get Group A (Level 10) category benefits and remuneration, e.i., INR 56100-177500 per month.

Those who want to apply for these vacancies should appear for GATE 2022 and clear the exam with a valid score. Once the official intimation is published on the CSB website, candidates can submit their applications through a special link provided on the website.

Selection Process

After the applications are received, the eligible candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on the GATE score and other relevant criteria.
