CUCET 2022- List of Participating Universities & Eligibility

The CUCET or the Central Universities Common Entrance Test, is a nationwide test administered by the National Testing Agency or NTA for admission into the various centrally-funded universities across India.

It is held for entry into the undergraduate and integrated postgraduate, B.Ed., M.Ed., M. Tech, PG Diploma, M.Phil., and Doctoral programs at 12 central institutions along with a few other participating institutions.

CUCET eligibility criteria

CUCET 2022 eligibility requirements vary between universities. Therefore, candidates should review the qualifying conditions for each university before filling out the CUCET application form for 2022 and must confirm their eligibility.

For undergraduate applicants

General category applicants need to have at least 50% marks in higher secondary education to be eligible. The cutoff for SC/ST category students is 45%.

Applicants should have pursued Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Mathematics during their higher secondary education depending upon the subject they wish to study.

For postgraduate applicants

The General category applicants require minimum marks of 55% on graduation, while the SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories require a minimum score of 50%.

There is a separate cutoff for OBC candidates in several regions. Applicants can refer to the course specifications on the official website.

An applicant must have completed a bachelor's degree in the same or a related discipline to the program they desire to pursue a master's degree. Check the prospectus for specifications of each course.

For Ph.D. program

Candidates who have taken the UGC-CSIR JRF, GATE, NBHM, or any other national level exam are exempted from taking the entrance exam but must register for CUCET 2022 anyway.

A master's degree in any field with a minimum of 55% for General applicants, 50% for OBC candidates, and 45% for SC/ST/PWD candidates is a mandatory requirement.

The rest of the basic qualifying requirements vary depending on the course the applicant wants to enroll in.

Note: There is No CUCET for PG, PhD courses in 2022.

Course-wise eligibility for CUCET 2022 entrance exam

MBA	Graduation in any field from a deemed university. Alternatively, applicants must have cleared AMIE or the final exam of the Institute of Chartered Accounts, Cost and Works Accounts, or Company Secretaries.
M.Com.	Graduated B.Com. or BA honors with an aggregate score of 50% for General and OBC candidates and 45% for SC/ST. BBS/BIFA/BBE/B.Voc. in Retail and Logistics Management with aggregate marks of 60%.
LLM	Bar Council of India accredited LLB degree with a 50% score or GPA. CUJ norms also provide reservations across several categories.
MA/ MSc in Psychology	Must acquire a bachelor's degree in any field from a recognized university. 50% and 55% scores for General and SC/ST/PWD/OBC categories, respectively.
Master of Performing Arts	1. Completed a bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized university with a performing arts subject. 2. 50% and 55% scores for General and SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories, respectively.
Master of Public Health	Must have MBBS, BDS, MSc Nursing, B.Pharm, Engineering, B.Ayush, Bvety, Nutrition, Development, Sociology, Public Administration, Psychology, Law, MSW, Economics, Political Science or any other related qualification.

For PG courses, if the candidate has a grade point average of 50% and above from a recognized university, they qualify to fill out the application form.
Students to be eligible for the scholarship, they must pass entrance examinations such as CUCET, NATA, JEE (Main), CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT, as well as others.
