What is DSSSB?

DSSSB (Delhi Subordinate Service Selection Board) is an autonomous organization under the Government of NCT of Delhi.

DSSSB hires qualified candidates every year for various posts. Similarly for the year 2021-22, notifications were released for 691 Junior Engineers & Section Officer posts for the Civil/Electrical fields in various departments on 31st December 2021. How to Apply for exam

The registration for DSSSB JE is to be done only online. Make sure to apply online and on time i.e. from 10th January 2022 to 09th February 2022.

Steps to apply for DSSSB JE 2022

There are 2 parts of online application process for DSSSB JE Recruitment 2022:

Part 1 - New Registration

This for the candidates who never applied on DSSSB for any recruitment.

Visit the official website https://dsssb.delhi.gov.in/ and go to the DSSSB JE Recruitment 2022 link.
Go to the New Registration link and fill in all the particulars required and submit.
Set a password and make sure to note it. You’ll receive an Registration number to email and phone.
You need your DSSSB Registration ID, DOB, 10th class Hall Ticket Number, and Password to log in.
Fill in the application form and upload the required documents.
Pay the required fee and take the printout.

Part 2 - Log in for DSSSB JE

This for the candidates who have applied on DSSSB for any recruitment before.

If you are one of them, here are the steps that need to be followed:

For candidates who already have a registration number and password, they can log in using their DSSSB Registration ID, DOB, 10th class Hall Ticket Number.
Fill in the application form and upload the required documents.
Pay the required fee and take the printout.

Application fee for DSSSB JE 2022

While filling out their DSSSB JE Application Form, candidates are required to pay an examination fee of Rs.100/- for all categories. Payment must be made online.

Note the exceptions:

Female applicants who belong to SC, ST, Physically Handicapped, or Ex-Servicemen groups are exempted from fee.
Former servicemen who have obtained jobs on the civil side under the Central Government on a regular basis after making use of the reservation benefits provided to ex-servicemen for their re-employment have to pay the application fee.

Eligibility Criteria for DSSSB JE 2022

Applicants for DSSSB JE are required to have a degree in Civil/ Electrical Engineering from a recognized university. Diploma holders from a recognized Institution or equivalent can also apply.
Applicants should have at least two years of professional experience as a Civil/Electrical Engineer.

Age Limit for DSSSB JE 2022

The candidate should be 18 - 30 years as on 09/02/2022.

Note the Age Relaxation

OBC - 03 years
PWD - 10 years
PWD + SC/ST - 15 years
PWD & OBC - 13 years
3 or more years of continuous service in Govt. of NCT of Delhi
Up to 5 years for Group ‘B’ posts
Up to 40 years for Group ‘C’ posts but 45 years for SC/ST and 43 years for OBC.

DSSSB JE 2022 Selection Process

Applicants will be selected for the positions of Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical) and Section Officer (Civil/Electrical) based on the Tier I and Tier II examinations. Let’s take a deeper look into it:

Tier 1: The exam will have two sections and obtained marks in this phase will not be considered in the final selection.

Tier 2: It will have two papers. He obtained marks, will play a role in the final selection and also in the merit list.

Note that to qualify for the vacancies announced, applicants must qualify in each stage.
