GRE Exam is a Graduate Record Examination which is a General Test conducted by ETS Educational Testing Service, the standardized test that tests the abilities of the students in verbal reasoning skills, quantitative ability, and analytical writing. Many universities Internationally offer seats for students, especially in the US and Canada. GRE is considered the world’s largest exam for graduate, postgraduate, Professional Courses, Law schools, and business schools. The GRE Test extends to Mathematics, Chemistry, Psychology, and Physics.

Usually, the GRE exam is conducted multiple times in a year and the students can attend the exam from any designated GRE test center and also from home by the feasible option “GRE at Home”.

The application fee for the GRE exam in India is $213 which is Rs. 16514 in India. GRE Exam costs $150 around the world. Additionally, to change the test centre or to reschedule the test, they would be expected to pay an additional fee.

Types of GRE Exam
GRE Computer-Based Test
Graduate Record Exam is conducted online at a specifically defined Test center at the student's desired location. The locations are available on the website. The locations are completely occupied by computers with the Internet.
GRE Home-Based Test
Educational Testing Service, ETS recently launched the Home-based test for GRE due to the pandemic effect. To ensure the safety of students the committee decided to conduct an online test at home. To attend the GRE Exam from home, the applicant needs the System with specific requirements defined by ETS and a stable internet connection along with a test environment.
GRE Exam Eligibility
There are no specific eligibility criteria required to take the GRE exam. The applicant must be a minimum of age 18 years. Anyone who is willing to study in the US with a GRE score can appear for this exam. However, the applicants who are planning to do a master's in the US can attend the exam. The only requirement needed for the GRE Exam is valid identity proof like an original passport, Aadhar card, etc.

GRE Exam Score
There is no maximum score is validated for GRE Exam. If a candidate wants admission to the Top 10% of universities then their minimum marks should cross 130 in Verbal Section and 130 in Quantitative Section but there is no minimum score required for Analytical writing.
GRE Exam Score Availability
The validity of the GRE exam score is five years. One can avail the score card for 5yrs from the year of the Exam attended.
When to Take GRE Exam
Usually one can take the GRE exam once in 21 days but most of the universities' deadlines fall in December or January. So, It is advisable to take the test in September or October. Then the 3 months give you ample time to prepare and retake the exam to get a better score.
