Telangana State Public Service Commission Group 1 Exam Structure

Prelims

This stage is the primary qualifying level. It consists of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The time given to all candidates for solving the questions is two and a half hours (150 minutes). Once the candidate gets through the prelims, they move to the next stage.

Mains

This is the most intensive phase of this exam. It contains six 150-mark question papers. Applicants shortlisted from prelims need to write descriptive answers to the questions in three hours (180 minutes).

Each of these papers consists of 150 marks. Hence, the cumulative sum of this stage is 900 marks. So, candidates need to focus on each paper and score maximum marks.

Personal Interview

After successfully clearing stages one and two, candidates need to appear for a personal interview. This stage contains 100 marks and is the final junction of the exam.
