Telangana State Public Service Commission Group 1 Exam Structure
Candidates appearing for the popular Group 1 exams must follow a well-defined process. This process takes place in three main stages. These are as follows:
Prelims
This stage is the primary qualifying level. It consists of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The time given to all candidates for solving the questions is two and a half hours (150 minutes). Notably, the questions in this stage are related to mental ability and general science. Hence, aspirants should be well-prepared with recent happenings around the country and world. Once the candidate gets through the prelims, they move to the next stage.
Mains
This is the most intensive phase of this exam. It contains six 150-mark question papers. Applicants shortlisted from prelims need to write descriptive answers to the questions in three hours (180 minutes).

Personal Interview
After successfully clearing stages one and two, candidates need to appear for a personal interview. This stage contains 100 marks and is the final junction of the exam.
