But the talent shown in the interview is very important for the final selection. The reason is that 20 percent weightage is given to talent in the interview. IBPS is collating both mains marks and interview marks into a series of 100 marks. Out of which, 80 percent weightage has been assigned to the mains marks and 20 percent weightage to the marks obtained in the interview.

There is also a rule that the candidates must secure minimum qualifying marks category-wise in the interview. The interview was conducted for 100 marks..
